After the events of Cursed Fates, I couldn’t wait for Fated Throne. There was soooooo much trauma I suffered from CF that I needed some serious closure. These ladies definitely delivered exactly what I needed. Of course, I need more now but that’s what make these ladies so good. Their words are impossible to put down, and leave you wanting more at the end.Now to get to the good stuff.*******SPOILERS AHEAD!!! PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!**************Let’s talk character arcs........Darcy: stepping up and becoming a serious badass. She’s had months of channeling her rage of losing both Orion and Tory, into becoming a Nymph killing machine. And the neat little toys she makes to help the boys fight them as well??? F-int AWESOME.Seth: Our lovely and devious Celestial Authors have managed to make me absolutely love yet another of their characters that I previously hated. His adorable friendship that has blossomed with Darcy is just fantastic, and him trolling Orion is just everything.Orion: He has been broken. I know that every decision he has made has brought him to exactly where he needs to be, but man does it suck. It feels like he keeps sacrificing everything and the *ahem* stars just keep screwing with him, all the while making you think he kinda deserves it for being a self sabotaging ass. He definitely comes a long way through FT on the way to redemption in Darcy’s eyes though, and I hope that means they have a fighting chance.Tory: well......... when last we saw her she was essentially enslaved to Daddy Acrux. Then you’ll get to see who was always fated to get the throne😈 Tory has been ensnared by Lionel as his guardian, and sucked in by the shadows as she is, Tory has no sense of her old self left to her.And the rest of the gang is trying to pick up pieces of the mess left behind when Lionel and Clara - the Shadow Princess - wreaked their havoc on Solaria.Orion still languishes in Darkmore Penitentiary for his illicit and illegal relationship with Darcy, and Darcy is alone without her twin for the first time in her life. And the heirs are trying to figure out how things got so out of hand so quickly. But all is not lost as Darcy and the heirs - along with Darcy and Tory’s brother Gabriel - begin working together for one common cause: Destroy Lionel and rescue the throne.As usual, Susanne and Caroline’s Zodiac Academy series continues in spectacular fashion. The characters we all know and love continue evolving which is wonderful to witness. I feel the heirs have finally realized how their horrible treatment of the royal twins helped bring all of this madness down upon their heads. They are genuinely sorry and doing everything in their power to help Darcy deal with not only the loss of her twin Tory but also Orion.One of my favorite aspects of Fated Throne is Seth and Darcy’s ever-changing relationship. I admit I absolutely loathed Seth from book one on. He always seemed the cruelest of all the heirs, and something about him just rubs me the wrong way. But now I have to say I am slowly growing to like him and think he’s even cute, in a shaggy puppy sort of way.I did not, however, give this book five stars for a couple of reasons. Maybe the time between reading books five and six was too long for me, because part of me had lost all of my reserves of Solaria energy, and it took a while to build back up. I’m also a bit disappointed there were so few sexy scenes here. These sister authors always deliver lots of hot eroticism, and that was blatantly missing from this installment.Overall the novel is excellent, if a bit predictable. I am, however, looking forward to the conclusion of the Solaria saga as soon as possible.
